My brother and I were chatting while on a family vacation to Cabo this past week (see a few pics below) and he brought up something I found quite funny – so I thought I’d share.
I’ve had this Mark Twain quote as my one and only quote on Facebook since well, Facebook’s inception way back in the olden days (cough 2005). I’ve always liked its message and I try my best to live by it.
Turns out I’m not the only one – seeing as the graduation speaker at a 2012 ceremony my brother recently attended decided to use the very same Twain mantra to inspire today’s youth. After the text heavy quote ended, my brother’s good friend leaned over and muttered…
“And to translate to the graduates of 2012 … #YOLO.”
Oh dear God.
