“Is this your ghost?” “No, that’s my great grandfather”

My dear friend Adam came into the office this morning and proceeded to tell me that he woke up this morning with the Ghost Busters theme song stuck in his head. He then immediately remembered his dream from the night before. As it turns out, in this dream, he was across the street from our office at a neighboring agency, E-factor Media.

To give you a bit of back story, E-factor is in the ‘Fletcher Building’ downtown on 6th and Broadway, right across the street from Jacob Tyler (it was there actually, that sparked the chain of events that landed me at Jacob Tyler – but that’s another story). They honest to goodness think that my Great Grandfather Col. Ed Fletcher haunts the building. I couldn’t make this up. Anywho, in Adam’s dream, he was scoffing the existence of ghosts while visiting a few friends over there – when out of nowhere, as ghosts tend to do, my great grand pappy showed up to counter his argument. Adam, obviously horrified, woke up and we’re back to the ghost busters theme song.

I’m very entertained by not only the fact that my co worker and friend is dreaming about my long-deceased relative but also that the folks over at E-factor genuinely think his ghosts exists. It is with this entertainment and inspiration that I have crafted the following meme for him.

  1. Chelsea Daus says:

Love. Now EFM needs to read it, unless Adam has already passed along.

  2. LOL! Nicole! This is TRUE. We have several encounters by ghosts in our building. We always call them Colonel Fletcher (though, they could also be due to the devil worshipers or hookers that once inhabited our space, but that may be another story, lol). Btw, there are some new photos posted in our hallway, one of which has a few people standing in front of a Ed. Fletcher Co. Reality office. I can’t tell if it’s your great grandpa, because they look a bit younger than the dashing couple you’ve added.

  3. […] We are located in the Col Fletcher Building downtown – and yes, there is a relation. My first day in the office, I walked up to see the following image right outside the office door – and it was definitely one of those everything happens for a reason moments. Anyway, rumor has it he haunts this fare building in which I work and, while I have yet to encounter great grand pappy’s ghost, I’ve heard recounts from enough people to entertain the possibility (check out the blog post I wrote about this last July). […]

  4. […] As many of you know, I have  a wonderful new gig at an agency currently – not formerly – known as EFM. It stands for Experiences for Mankind – and we are a cross media agency who builds smarter brand experiences. What does that mean, you ask? Take a look at the reel below. We are the proud partners of brands including Siemens, GE, Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Sony and Qualcomm, to name a few.
